Unconciously, the world has entered the gate of 2009. In every beginning of the past years, we always prayed for the luck, happiness and fortune. But 2008 gave us too much surprise and thinking. Many nature disasters and conflits caused by Dalai because of Tibet, but also many good newses for Chinese, like strait sail between mainland and Taiwan, successful holding of Olympic Games in Beijing, etc. In this year, Chinese has grown up and learned how to face the challenges in the international society and deal with the issues more mutually.
I'm also growing up, to a destination where I have no idea but must dreamed of. I have never felt so close to the world and to business. In the beginning, I didn't know what to do and was wondering what was a real job and what were people busy with. Why I was not busy in the office and what should I do since I'm a management trainee. I asked my boss who is the new CCO in Asia Pacific but he said he didn't know either because he was in China only for months and also new in the business unit within the group. Then, I was trying to find work to do and to learn as much as possible. Many times when someone had meetings with me or taught me something, I couldn't even understand what they are talking about. But little by little, I was becoming familiar with the business - Shipping, Logistics and Terminals - I had never, ever touched these areas before. Fortunately, I can understand the business and know what to do, though still have large amount of things to learn.
My career objective is to be professional in business. I just start my sail in the business ocean and I believe I have prepared to face and beat the challenges and difficulties waiting for me in the way. 2009, destined to be a hard year for the world, will be my hard-working and passionate year.
Cheers, my friend! We have our career, our life and our future. Let's pursue our happiness.
